High School KYA 3 is seeing some tough competition for next years presiding officers. Let’s take a minute to meet each of the candidates and hear their platforms:

Bluegrass Candidates-

  • Ally Napier is from Western Hills High School and her three platforms are Advance Public Health, Reform Education, and Get Kentucky Out of Debt.
  • Ella Bussell is from Rockcastle County High School and her three platforms are Public School Funding, Wifi Accessibility to all Kentuckians, and Rural Community Improvement.
  • Josie York is from North Oldham High School and her three platforms center around Water Pollution, Medical Marijuana, and Foster Care.
  • Livi Ray is from University Heights Academy and her three platforms are Providing for the Homeless, Eliminating Plastic Bags, and Reliable Internet Access for Students.

Commonwealth Candidates:

  • Arden Ensor is from Lafayette High School and her three platforms are centered around Renewable Energy, Justice System Reform, and Education.
  • Chaney Garrison is from Montgomery County High School and her three platforms are centered around Community Outreach Extra-Curriculars, Educating Students’ Families on Technology, and KEES Scholarship Reform.
  • Kauner Shacklette is from North Hardin High School and his three platforms are Education Funding, Mental Healthcare in Schools, and Same-Day Voter Registration.
  • Leah Hibbitts is from Western Hills High School and her three platforms are Better Living Conditions for Animal Shelters, Education Funding, and Permanent Body Camera Requirements for KY Policemen.
  • Lily York is from North Oldham High School and her three platforms center around Environment, Education, and Equitable Housing.
  • Molly Craig is from Rockcastle High School and her three platforms are Nursing Home Care, Child Hunger, and Human Trafficking.
