Lobbyists: a person who takes part in an organized attempt to influence legislators.

Reyna Russell when asked why she is pursuing this position says, “…. I get to talk about things I’m passionate about…” and while many people assume that being a lobbyist is a piercing job there is a bright side. Bill sponsor Tegan Neal when asked his opinion on Lobbyists says, “(Lobbyists) They are good in some ways and bad in others. They have to favor and oppose bills so they are just doing their job.”

While lobbyist contribute greatly to our KYA community they also can tear your bills to shreds. The sponsors of Commonwealth bill 14, which is being opposed by lobbyist Reyna Russell state their opinion on her disapproval and reaction to the defeat of their bill, “… she was doing her job and she did do it very well, but she still took down our hard work and time.”

Lobbyist are very underrated members of the KYA community. They help to make court function proper and allow for all sides of the bill presented to be addressed.
